Stockman Living Launches

Written by:adminmyland

The team at Myland Partners is committed to developing innovative, visionary concepts into truly great places to live. Myland is excited to announce Stockman Living – the latest large-scale, masterplanned development set in the serene eastern edge of Pukekohe. With resource consented design – accentuated with wide streets, large grass berms and sites nestled around native wetlands. Tranquil greenspace aesthetics offering a peaceful calm in an urban village certain to appeal to a range of buyers.

Positioned to the east of the successful Anselmi Ridge development and approximately 5-minutes drive from Pukekohe township, Myland has met the demand and desire for those seeking a lifestyle blend of town-meets country. The location was carefully selected for its restful, rural landscape, where horses dot the open pastures and the charm of rolling fields lead to home. Where residents will enjoy limitless choices with work and leisure opportunities in the Franklin district and Auckland just a 40- minute drive away.

Formally a 15.0ha dry stock beef farm having been in the same ownership for over 50 years, the great transformation is now well underway with earthworks progressing well. Myland Partners recently caught up with Earthworks site supervisor Steve Cathcart and his hardworking team and had the great privilege to see their exceptional work in action on site.

What is your role and responsibility?

“Running the operations with the team, health & safety and looking after all the machines. Making sure we are cutting from the right areas and filling the right gullies. We have dirt to come off the site so I need to make sure we are moving the dirt and putting it where it needs to go.”

Tell us about progress to date with Stockman Living and the current scope of work

“We have dug and cleaned out the gully which took about a week, and we are currently filling it with engineered fill. The Geo team have come in to inspect. We have installed the drainage material in the bottom and now we are running an ongoing cut to fill operation.”

What do you think residents will love about Stockman Living?

“The fresh air, the open spaces, the close proximity to Pukekohe and to the motorway south or north.”

Introducing – Stockman Superstar Dozer Driver Tineille Howell

“My name is Tineille and my role is Machinery Operator. I’m driving a D7 Bulldozer and I’m currently cutting the dirt and taking it to the fill. The key part of my role is to make sure I am cutting the right spots and not undercutting. It’s a challenging role but I enjoy it. While I drive I listen to music, it’s what I find helps with my concentration. It’s really satisfying seeing the end result of my work!”
